Indicator and Side mirror
Today, we found out that the left front indicator is not working. The tickling sound when the indicator is turned on quickened. We knew something is wrong. So, we got our backpacker host , Anthony to help us. He unscrewed the indicator panel and took out the bulb then gave us direction to Repco to get the light bulb replacement.
The light bulb costs NZD4.60 for 2.
Another thing, we went to Repco again, thinking that we can just replace the mirror without actually replacing the entire side mirror. The lady directed to Smith and Smith Glass which is just 100m away, near Warehouse. The Maori guy said he can't cut the glass for us coz the frame holding the mirror is missing.
We drove to Tahananui Spare parts to get the side mirror replacement. The repair guy told us for NZD50 he will fix it for us.
What a day!

Cable Bay
I've been staying in The Bug backpacker for more than a week now. While waiting for the job in Sealord, we just killed time doing nothing.
We went to Cable Bay yesterday with 3 other girls - Esther, Koo and Luna. It is about 15 minutes from city center.
The water was very clear and blue and the weather -super fine! Blue skies and blue water..great company..
We hiked to the top to get the whole view. On the way up, we saw some sheeps grazing the green grass, inhaling the fresh air. For a moment there, I wish I was a sheep and a NZ born sheep! What a good life, just eating and enjoying the breathtaking view from a top.

Taupo Day 2 - Huka Fall
We met a very friendly Brazilian guy - Adelino at Taopo Bungy and he wanted to walk with us to Huka Fall. It is a 1.5 hours walk from Spa Road.
It was a nice and easy walk along the Waikato River. I like the color and serenity of the river. I felt really peaceful and in tune with nature.

We woke up early in the morning because we are going for Bungee Jumping. We bought the tickets from I-Site for NZD109. It comes with free DVD.
Taupo Bungy is located at Spa Road - about 5 minutes walk from Rainbow Lodge.
Unfortunately, i didnt meet the minimum requirement which is 45 Kg. I was 3 kg short.
So, I became the photographer for Li Fah's bungee jump!

Stayed at Rainbow Lodge. They picked us up from the bus stop. Yay!!
We got a room with 3 ppl for NZD23 per nite BBH card member. Our roomate is Co Sin from Malaysia too. She was here for training on water treatment. Lucky her, all her expenses were covered by her company. She went to do Tongariro crossing hiking today. She was very chatty and told us alot of things bout working in NZ. She was here last year for the working holiday visa too.
Some of her tips:
1. Buy vege from the Saturday Market. Every town has it. Its much cheaper from buying from the supermarket.
2. Get the spaghetti in a can, spread it with the bread, top with cheese and then put it in the toaster. Yummy!
3. Get the Edmond's Cookbook, there are many recipes for cooking and baking cakes and cookies.
4. Watch penguin from one place in South Island. Do not need to pay anything..i didnt get the name of the place though.
She is very friendly and nice to us...Glad to know her!!

Journey to NZ - 17th March
We left for Australia on the 17th march 120pm flight and reached Auckland,NZ on the 18th March, 330pm local time.
Our flight route to NZ :
KUL -> MEL -> AUK
Airasia Pacific Blue
We arrived in Melbourne Airport at 1 am midnight after 8 hours flight from LCCT.
The seats in the Airasia X i are not adjustable, so we had to sit up straight.the orientation of the seats in a row is 3 3 3. So i chose to sit at the left most so its easy to get out when i want to use the lavatory. There was a British guy sitting on the window seat.
We pre ordered our food, nasi lemak with a 300ml Spritzer mineral water. The nasi lemak tasted quite bland.
When we got to Melbourne, we have to wait another 8 hours for our flight to NZ. So, we didnt have much to do but to sleep. But it was very cold. We tried sleeping on the steel chairs but in the end we had hot chocolate at the indian coffee house...and tried to get some sleep.
In the morning, we had Mcd breakfast...Mcmuffin breakfast set that comes with coffee.
Our flight was at 10am, another 3.5 hours to get to Auckland.
Everything is smooth sailing and the immigration officer was from malaysia too.
My cousin came to pick us up from the airport. He came with his gf...and li fah noticed that he didnt help us with our luggage..and she thought it was weird...yeah i thot so too but i didnt wanna say anything coz he was kind enough to take time off to fetch us to our backpackers.
He dropped us off somewhere at queen street and we walked all the way uphill to our backpacker at the frienz(http://www.frienz.com) which is located at
27-31 Victoria Street. It is located near Albert park.
We booked a four bedded female dorm which is located on the 3rd floor..
We liked the bathroom with hot shower and also the free internet access. There are 3 computers that we can use on first come first serve basis. Sometimes we waited for more than 40 minutes to use it. Most of the time, the ppl here use it to check facebook. Too bad, internet here is not free. It cost NZD2 for 1 hour usage in the internet cafe.
After we had settle down, we went to walk around the city.Had burger king for dinner...
